Info for Campers
Amplify is a six-day creative arts camp for young people aged school year 11 to 25 years, from across Aotearoa New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga, and Samoa.
Amplify 2027 kicks off with registration from 1pm on Tuesday 12 January and ends after lunch on Sunday 17 January. Transport is provided from the airport. Please ensure your flight lands by 12:30pm on 12 January and departs no earlier than 3:30pm on 17 January.
Earlybird is $275 (before 1 November) and full price is $300 (from 1 November).
Registrations open 1 October and close 1 December or once all spots are full.
THE HEART
There are three main purposes for Amplify.
Creativity - To encourage and equip young people in the creative arts and help them to discover how to use these skills in their corps and community.
Relationship - To help build positive connections between young people across our territory.
Discipleship - To strengthen and develop young people in their discipleship journeys.
THE WHAT
Across the six days, you’ll spend time learning in your chosen creative fields, exploring your giftings and how you can use these to build the Church as well as positively impact your community.
We’ll also spend time together in small groups each day, as well as free time, meals, camp-wide activities, church services, activities in our café and the Amplify Festival.
FESTIVAL
The Amplify Festival is an in-house event where we’ll have the chance to express our creative areas and give something a go on stage or show off other art expressions through creative stalls and displays.
It’s going to be the best celebration of who we all are. Get ready!
PARTNERSHIP
Amplify is all about community – we are better together!
We have an experienced team of around 40 staff that are there to journey with you – they do an exceptional job of caring, praying, chatting, learning and having fun with us all!
You are welcome to come on your own from your local Salvation Army – we also welcome local youth leaders to attend in the sole role of caring for their group of young people. You will get to indicate if you are a camper or a leader on the rego form.
With so many leaders around, it is not a requirement that your corps sends a leader with you. If your local leader isn’t attending, there will be a wellbeing team onsite available to support you, as well as older camper dorm monitors in the accommodation spaces to make sure we’re all doing okay.
We want to have a fun and safe week together! Please let us know if you are coming to camp with particular needs that we might need to look out for so we can make this the best experience possible for you.
